Not a lot happening around here. Yesterday we went to the casino and I spent my free $20.00 gambling at the penny machine. In doing so, I cashed out with over $13+, almost enough to buy our lunch in Coarsegold at a little lunch stand.

Later we started putting things in order to hit the road. Today we finished putting things away and will pay our rent and electric bill and hit the road in the morning.

Will have to start getting up early so we can get some miles behind us before noon. We will be working toward our next hamfest on Friday and Saturday in Winslow, AZ.

I am not sure where we will be tomorrow evening, but I am hoping we can get TV or at least a good radio station to keep up with the election returns. It will be interesting if all of the predictions really come true, or if it is all a lot of smoke and mirrors and nothing will really change.

I think that this election will determine if this country survives as a democracy or not. Only time and this election will tell. I anticipate a lot of recounts that will drag decisions out for several days before we really know for sure.

The photos are of the local casino and the hotel, really out in the middle of nowhere, some 45 miles from the closest town of any size, Fresno, CA. However, it is on the Yosemite Parkway and about half way to the park. So it may be a good place to stay while visiting the park(s).
