Sunday, it was up early and out of the campground at 6am. We got to the hamfest site a little before 7am and started setting up and by 8am I was busy engraving and worked steady until the drawing at 1pm and it was all over. All in all, a good day and worth our trouble.

We left Salina and drove west on I70 to the town of Hays, KS at camp Wal Mart. Needless to say we were ready for bed and a good nights rest.

This morning we got up and headed west on I 70 for Colorado. We stopped in Goodland, KS to get fuel and eat some lunch and then on to the Welcome Center at Burlington, CO. We picked up all kinds of things and some photos as well that we will post later.

On west to Seibert, CO and the Shady Grove camp ground for the night. Tomorrow we will go on to Colorado Springs and will go to Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy and then on to Golden for the hamfest on Sunday.

Our photos are of the Eisenhower Chapel. A very serene atmosphere and place of solitude and peace. A fitting tribute for their final resting place.
