A busy day in the life of rural Nebraska. We went to the Genoa UMC for services and then to the restaurant a few blocks away for breakfast/brunch with several members of the congregation.

It was a beautiful morning as you can see by the photos. Evelyn took these just before the sun came up. They really looked like paintings more than photographs.

After breakfast we came home and rested and about 4pm we headed for Benedict, NE to meet with Mike and Carlyn Drew for dinner at PK's restaurant where they have delicious chicken, as well as other things, I am sure. We were there for the chicken as Mike said it was very good. Good it was along with real mashed potatoes and gravy and whole kernel corn. A very nice meal at a fair price.

After we ate, we went back to Polk, NE to look at an RV spot in the city park where we may go in a week or so. It was very nice and looked as though it would work well for us. From there, we drove to Stromburg, NE for ice cream, which we did not need but it certainly was good. It was time to head for Genoa and home and some well needed rest. Tomorrow it is off to Columbus, NE to have the van aligned and no one knows what after that.
