Sunday, we went to Church and then after lunch we finished installing a new belt on the engraver. I had purchased 2 new belts a couple of years ago when we decided to take the business on the road. Guess what, I did not know where they were. After looking everywhere, I could visualize putting them in a zip lock bag and punching holes in the bag and putting it in a 3 ring binder. Finally, we found the notebook in the supply cabinet that contained the manual as well as the manual for another machine I have. I guess that is what happens as you grow older. We finished the project in time to go to Noblesville to a Big Band Concert at the city park. A really nice band of volunteer members that love to play big band music. A great evening even if a bit cool.
Well, it is September already. We have spent the summer here in Fishers working on the house getting it ready to put on the market in the next week or so.
We had ordered a new counter top for the kitchen and picked it up on Wednesday. We have been getting it ready to install next Wednesday. Friday, we worked on food we would take to the family reunion at the Hensley's on Saturday. A really nice turnout with most all of the family there with the exception of 2 or 3. We got back home close to dark and exhausted from all of the talking and trying to listen to all that was going on around all at the same time. Sunday, up early to Church for a very interesting sermon by Ann Bradon, the business manager at the church, and a fine speaker. A talent I was not aware of. Later in the after noon Evelyn and I went to Red Lobster for dinner, using a gift certificate we had received some time ago. A nice meal of wood fire grilled Salmon, baked potato, salad and broccoli.
Today, Labor Day, we did not do much, moved the motor home and washed the street side and wiped it down. We had washed the other portions last week at different times. Just too big to wash all at the same time. We also aired the tires, checked the oil in the engine and the generator, so all is ready to hit the road later in the week.
