Tuesday, I made several phone calls and set up some appointments. One, to have the drive line checked on the motor home.
Wednesday, Jeff and Alan came to install the counter top. A big job as the top has a return on both ends and has to slide between the cabinet and a flange on the ceramic tile on the back splash. Only a fraction of an inch to play with. Finally got it in with the help of Dennis as Jeff had to leave.
Thursday we took the motor home to the shop where they drove the unit and checked drive line. All was fine, but at 50k miles we changed the differential fluid and flushed it out. Back to Fishers, got in the van and went to church for a luncheon and then an organ concert on the sanctuary organ by our organists who is a teacher and an excellent organist. She played for over an hour with only a few notes on the songs she would play. Quite enjoyable and appreciated by all.
Friday we finished up some final details in the kitchen and went to pick up the new range and got it installed and hooked up and checked out. We left for Findlay, Ohio about 4pm and spent the night in Decatur, IN. Saturday we drove on to Findlay and got parked and set up ready for the hamfest on Sunday. It was a very nice city park and a beautiful day. Lots of people and a fairly good day as far as business is concerned. We left about 4pm on our way home and spent the night in Celina, OH at the Celina County Fairgrounds. We called a cousin that lives close by and they came for a visit. We had not seen them for several years and we had a good visit. In talking with the campground host, we learned that on Wednesday there would be about 2500 Goldwing motor cycles there for a rally and then the next week would be the Gypsy Journal East rally. He said they really enjoyed the Gypsy Journal group as they were all very nice people. As we were leaving there were a couple of large vendors coming in, so things were already underway for the arrival of the Goldwing group. We got home a little after noon and did a few errands and getting ready to leave on Thursday for Peoria, IL.
