The last few days have been relatively uneventful. It rained several days however the last couple have been quite nice, sunny and warm. This afternoon late it clouded up and they are predicting rain by tomorrow afternoon and evening. You might know, I have another Dr. appointment and then to a Fish Fry at a local church tomorrow evening. Hopefully it will not get too bad before we get back home.
I have some work to get done on the van before we hit the road again. The front end needs to be aligned and I suspect it will need ball joints as it has almost 135k miles on it and they have never been replaced. There is a noise in the front of the engine that sounds like a bearing, possibly the idler pulley or the tensioner pulley, or the alternator. Will just have to get them checked out and replace what is needed. As the van is towed more than it is driven, the wear occurs in different areas, so you have to be aware of a lot of things, like the brakes, that are used for both towing and driving. However the van is doing quite well and I expect to get several more years and miles out of it. Hopefully repairs will only be minor, no problems with the engine or transmission as they are costly to repair.
We are looking forward to attending the Good Sam rally in Lebanon, IN over the Memorial Day weekend and then it will not be long before we leave for the HTC rally in Pigeon Forge, TN. We will work the hamfest in Knoxville, TN just before the rally.
