After it cleared off this afternoon, we did some cleaning on the outside of the motor home. The wheels had mud on them from Casa Grande, AZ. We had driven a few times in rain but it would not wash off. I finally took some Orange cleaner and sprayed it on and let it soak a while and then used a brush and soapy water and finally got most of it off. Not sure what kind of soil they have there, but it seems t stain the tires and is really difficult to remove. I will treat the tires the next time I have a chance and it is not raining.
I still have some medical appointments next week, so hopefully they will all turn out alright and I will not have to have any further tests.
The photo is of a flowering crab apple tree. There are many in our neighborhood as well as pink ones. The Red Bud trees are really in bloom. I will get a photo of one in the next day or two.
We have been trying to schedule Ham Fests for the summer and fall without much success. There are a lot of ham fests, but they are scattered all over the country and none are in any sequence. Some that are of any size are 4 or 5 hundred miles apart. That is too far to drive for no more money than you can make in such a short time. Only a few are over two days and they are mostly on a Friday afternoon & evening and Saturday morning, maybe until 2pm. Many of the ham fests are getting smaller and not well attended, while others seem to be growing. The ham fest in Yuma, AZ is a growing one and they have a different approach as well as teaming up with Emergency Preparedness groups which seems to be working out well for both groups.
I attended the local Repeater Association Meeting and saw many amateur radio friends and has some interesting conversations as well as a nice dinner with them all. Always a nice time with good friends and good food.
