Oct. 26
Today started out a bit gloomy with an overcast sky and some light showers. By noon it had cleared considerably and the sun began to shine and it proved to be a nice afternoon. I called Phillip, my Grandson, who is in the Air Force stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. He was free this afternoon so we picked him up and he wanted to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. We had a nice visit and toured some of the base as we took him back. A nice visit and a good meal at BWW. It was getting dark as we headed back to Hondo and the park. The sunset was quite stunning as it changes so much as the sun receeds into the horizon. Beautiful hues of red, purple, blue and yellow in an ever changing ballet of colors. It had just gotten dark as we got into Hondo and completely dark by the time we got to the park. Sure is difficult to locate a turn off the first time in total darkness.
The photo is our space in Abaline State Park just south of Buffalo Gap, TX. A very remote park with lots of wildlife.
